VULCAN WORKS, NORTHAMPTON

Overview

A creative hub providing 68 lettable units aimed at the creative industry for ‘start-ups’ and growing businesses.

Vulcan Works was built in 1875 for engineering company Mobbs & Co and later turned into a leather warehouse, once at the forefront of Northampton’s internationally-renowned shoe industry.

The building is a mixed development renovation and new build with a BREEAM assessment rating of ‘Very Good’.

SEC have been proud to work on this D&B project for our client Stepnells which in volved refurbishment of the former museum store and creating of a new three-storey building and office/studio/workshop block.

The scope of the project includes the co-ordination, supply, delivery, installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance of the electrical installation
